Jean-Claude Petitpierre is a Swiss Traditionalist/Perennialist. He had long associations with Frithjof Schuon, Titus Burckhardt, and the subject of this slideshow, Martin Lings. Petitpierre has spent many years living among, and learning from, Hindu and Muslim spiritual figures.
In this video clip, Petitpierre reflects on the writings of Lings (Abu Bakr Siraj ad-Din). He remarks on Lings’ frequent focus on Sufism and Islam, but also on his writings on the inner meaning of Shakespeare.
