Dancing to the Center Pole

“The most sincere dancers will be up almost continually and their path to the Center Pole will become worn into the dirt by the constant wear of the bare feet of the dancer. These dancers are connected to the Center Pole by an invisible cord coming from the tree and penetrating into their heart. The path that the dancer makes to the Center Pole represents this attachment. At the end of the Sun Dance, you can see these trails as reminders of the invisible attachment, that we all possess, to the spiritual domains which are both inside us and yet also beyond us.”
