Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom in Vajrayana Buddhism, holds in his right hand a flaming sword, which represents his discernment and which "cuts" through ignorance. Although Manjushri often holds in his left hand a flower, here he is forming the Dharmacakra mudra, the gesture of teaching, in front of his heart. |
